A father-son reunion is brewing in Salt Lake City, Utah. Shams Charania of The Athletic has reported that Zaire Wade will sign a contract with Salt Lake City Stars. Wade's signing comes just a few months after his father, Dwyane, became a part-owner of Salt Lake City's parent organization, the Utah Jazz.

By signing with the Salt Lake City Stars, Wade will forego his four years of collegiate eligibility. After playing four years at the high school powerhouse Sierra Canyon and one year at Brewster Academy, Wade earned college offers from Miami, Toledo, Rhode Island and South Carolina.

"[Wade is an] athletic combo guard with good size and length. [He's] still relatively physically immature and has plenty of room to add strength in coming years. [He is an] explosive athlete who could improve further with added strength. [His] best attribute is his vision. [He] sees [the] floor at an elite level," Josh Gershon of 247 Sports wrote about Wade in a scouting report.

"While [his] vision is tremendous, basketball IQ and ball skills will need to improve to be full time point guard. [He is a] much improved shooter with range to the perimeter. [He] tends to make [the] flashy play over right play at times. [He] has upside as versatile defender who can guard the one or two."

Wade will join the Salt Lake City Stars in time for the 2021-2022 G-League season. The Stars will begin their regular season campaign on November 5 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma against the Blue.
